AfricInvest  Fund, a Mauritius based pan African SME fund was established in September 2004 jointly by the Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkleingslanden N.V. (“FMO”) and Tuninvest Finance Group, as a generalist venture capital / private equity fund operating in the Maghreb region and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The fund currently has committed capital of €34 million which is now fully committed to about 15 investee companies in Africa. The fund covers selected regions in North, Central and West Africa and is managed by a central team based in Tunis and Local Investment Partners who cover selected countries and regions in Africa.

AfricInvest is currently raising a second fund (AfricInvest II) with a target capital of €100 million.
